Chestatee Elementary
Fall 2024-Ongoing
As the art teacher at Chestatee Elementary, I teach over 1,200 K-5 students on a rotating schedule. I design and implement curriculum that is relevant and engaging to our students while constantly sharing the joy of art-making. Beyond the school day, I run an art club after school, several art shows for our students, and a teacher clay class.
Jackson County High School Spring 2024
As a student teacher at Jackson County High School I worked in the Ceramics department. I assisted with Ceramics I, II, & III as well as pottery and AP 3D. I supported and shadowed the mentor teacher and developed and implemented my own unit on slab-building.
Johnnie Lay Burks Elementary
Spring 2024
As a student teacher at Johnnie Lay Burks Elementary I worked with K-5 students in the Athens-Clarke County area. I assisted with all grades and developed and implemented lessons for first grade, art club, and more.
Georgia Museum of Art
Fall 2023
As an Education Intern at the Georgia Museum of Art I assisted in the development and implementation of collection-focused art curriculum. This involved all age groups from Toddler Tuesday, Senior Programming, and School Field Trips.
I also worked with the museum as an Outreach Educator to teach a follow-up lesson for fifth grade field trip visitors.
